Painting and drawing have always been her passions, then she also started taking photos. The idea was to encapsulate the beauty or mood in the image right away, immediately, before it evaporates, floats away and disappears. That is why she paints quickly, a sketch of the painting or a watercolor can be created in a quarter of an hour.

There are authors who like to return to one topic. In Lara's paintings it is a creation of a parallel world contained in the reflection from the water mirror. Often it is a lake or sea, in summer or winter, in the scenery of an alien planet or of a forest frozen above the water surface. Other common themes are exotic landscapes and mountain panoramas.
