The Palo Alto Youth Public Health Coalition, in partnership with The Stanford REACH Lab YAB and ODFree SCC, held a community Zoom session on fentanyl and opioid awareness and prevention on September 28, from 4–5 PM. Over 35 participants joined to learn from our guest speakers.
Every year on August 31st, we recognize International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). This day brings together local communities to remember and honor loved ones lost to overdose and to take action to end stigma.
Santa Clara County is hosting a community gathering to honor this day, which will include receiving free naloxone, fentanyl test kits, and training to use these resources. There will be speakers and a community open mic, as well as opportunities to learn about other resources and organizations around Santa Clara County.
