PALMS PHYSIOTHERAPY & ALLIED HEALTH
At Palms Physiotherapy & Allied Health (Malaga), our Disability Inclusive Movement Classes are designed to help people of all abilities build strength, mobility, balance, confidence and independence in a supportive, welcoming environment.
These classes are inclusive by design. That means exercises are adaptable, goals are individualised, and participants are encouraged to move at a level that feels safe and achievable—whether you’re just getting started or looking to build on existing capacity.
✅ Mandatory requirement: All participants must complete an initial individual assessment before joining the group program. This ensures your exercises are safe, appropriate, and tailored to your goals and presentation.

At Palms Physiotherapy & Allied Health, we offer a range of exercise classes and rehabilitation services in Perth designed to support movement, strength, mobility, function and confidence across a wide range of ages and abilities.
Our classes and rehabilitation services are designed for people who may want:
guided exercise in a supportive environment
rehabilitation after injury, illness or surgery
support with strength, mobility and balance
exercise that feels more appropriate for their body, health condition or functional goals
a class environment with allied health input and clinical understanding
Depending on the class or program, support may be suitable for children, adults and older adults, including people living with disability, chronic conditions, pain-related movement limitations or reduced confidence with exercise.
Some people do best starting with an individual consult first (Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology), then transitioning into group classes once they have the right baseline plan and modifications.
If you’re unsure, we can help you choose the best pathway.

Do I need to be “fit” to join?
No. These classes are designed to meet you where you’re at. We can scale exercises up or down depending on ability, confidence and fatigue.
Can I participate if I use a walker, wheelchair or other aid?
Often yes. We can modify many exercises and include seated/assisted options. Contact us so we can confirm suitability and the safest setup.
Can a support worker/carer attend with me?
Yes—support people are welcome where appropriate, especially if assistance is required for safety or participation.
Is this like a regular gym class?
Not exactly. The focus is inclusive, functional movement with guidance and modifications—not pushing through or “no pain, no gain.”
Do you offer 1:1 sessions instead?
Yes. If group classes aren’t the best fit, we can recommend individual physiotherapy or exercise physiology sessions.
Can this be funded through NDIS?
Possibly, depending on your plan management type and goals. We can provide information to support planning, but funding decisions are made by the NDIA.
If you’re unsure whether group classes are the best starting point—or whether individual sessions are more appropriate first—contact our team. We can help you choose the safest and most suitable pathway.
