This project is similar to the Community Literacy Reading Project with one exception - the involvement of parents. The projects goal is to foster a love of reading in families. Members of the PBTESOL organization will come to your school site or community to facilitate a family event that features parents reading to their children and/or children reading to their parents and siblings. The curriculum was created by our 2016-2017 President and SY18 District TOY, Dr. Evangeline Aguirre. It is a complete system that starts from the introduction of vocabulary and culminates with the creation and presentation of artifacts to demonstrate learning gains. Click here to volunteer.
