Reading Runs in the Family©

Palm Beach TESOL had two very successful "Reading Runs in the Family (c)" events. Students (and their families) from elementary through Adult Ed attended and actively participated in various literacy activities after reading "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein.

It was indeed a great start in promoting reading among the families of our English learners. In fact, one of the parents told us that it was very helpful that they get to experience what actually happens in a Reading class. The Palm Beach TESOL team hosted the same event in West Palm Beach in November 2016 and the Glades in January 2017.

A special thanks to Ms. Gallardo for donating art supplies and candies. We are also thankful to Ms. Tracy Meiners, Dr. Russel, Ms. Gilmore & Ms. Roman for donating books. Last but by no means least, thank you to our dedicated members who facilitated each group of families.
