Unexpectedly and way too soon...

After a short but severe illness, we had to say goodbye today to our sweet, crazy giant, Zeus.

He was our very first Giant Schnauzer, and he was extraordinary in every way. Enthusiastic and wonderfully crazy with the people he loved, he was our constant shadow, following us everywhere around the house and wherever we went, never wanting to miss a single moment. Sweet, gentle, and careful with the little ones in our family. He was always present in every possible way.

Even after 29 years of sharing our lives with Schnauzers, Zeus gave us so many firsts.

- He was our first Schnauzer who loved the water although he wasn't the strongest swimmer... so he proudly wore a life jacket

- our first Swiss and Danish Show Champion (with many more titles to follow)

- our first who was absolutely obsessed with a ball and never grew tired of playing fetch,

- our first who figured out how to open every door in the house —including the front door! — all by himself

- our first who took you by the arm (literally!) to guide you where HE wanted to go to

We will absolutely miss our Zeus / Zeusie...
