Share your Story!

This project was created for one specific reason: to preserve, share and honor the voices of Palisadians. We are eager to hear from everyone: community leaders, neighbors and friends of all ages whose stories have defined this town long before the fires. Through personal reflections and interviews, an interactive map with pictures, we invite you to explore the people, memories, and resilience that continues to define our treasured community that we have/had the privilege to call home.

We need your voices! Share your Palisades story today!

Opinion | I Lost Everything in a California Fire. It Changed How I Live.I realized I could live more simply, as I’d always wished to do.

Interesting NYT article (no paywall) about where people affected by the Palisades and Eaton Fires have moved. Written by Ronda Kaysen, Robert Gebeloff, and Leanne Abraham.

NYT article (no paywall as well) from Pico Iyer, an author who lost his childhood home in Santa Barbara during the Painted Cave Fire in the 90's. His words of wisdom are very soothing and are extremely relevant today.
