Dryas hookeriana (Rosaceae) at Jasper National Park, Alberta.
It's fair to say that I have too many pictures of flowers. As a child, I had a weird obsession with cataloging information, which could focus on diverging topics such as dinosaurs or maps. As an adult, that tendency seems to express itself in an obsessive drive to document as many flowering plants as possible. Since there are upwards of 250,000 species of flowering plants and my tally has not yet reached 2,000 species, I can rest easily knowing that this obsession will never be sated. Still, if you see me drop to the ground mid-hike, you can be sure that I just spotted a cool-looking flower.
