Paladonia was established on February 25th, 2021, when President Goodwin led a fleet of canoes to Cha Kwo Chau Island and planted a flag. The group ventured to the southern part of the island, nearly losing hope before they decided to place the flag closer to the shore. Notably, no formal declaration of independence was made at that time.
On July 25th, a second expedition embarked on an arduous journey, discovering that the original flag had fallen from its pole. The president and his team, determined to recover the symbol of their earlier triumph, set out once more on this treacherous quest. The island, cloaked in an unyielding shroud of mystery, presented its own formidable challenges.
As they ventured deeper into the heart of the island, armed with a bush cutter, the flag, and determination, the ground was a tangled mess of roots and slippery moss, threatening to trip them at every step. The team pushed forward, driven by sheer willpower and the hope of reclaiming their lost emblem.
At one point, President Goodwin slipped and got stuck in a branch; he had to cut himself free with a saw. Hours stretched on, each one more grueling than the last, as they hacked their way through the underbrush, their progress painfully slow. Despite their best efforts, the forest’s relentless density proved impenetrable, a living barrier that refused to yield its secrets.
They came tantalizingly close to their goal, only to be thwarted by the unforgiving terrain. Exhausted and with daylight fading, they made the difficult decision to leave the flag where it lay, deep in the heart of the island’s jungle. Somewhere amid the thick canopy and shadowed groves, the flag remains, a silent testament to their harrowing journey and the island’s enduring mystery, never to be recovered.
On February 25th, 2022, marking the anniversary of their extraordinary journey, the group returned to the island for one final visit, bestowing a new flag upon the old pole. When last observed in late 2022, the flag continued to dance in the breeze, a testament to their lasting legacy. The anniversary celebration was more than just a commemoration; it was a renewed commitment to the ideals that Paladonia stood for. The group, now joined by new members and supporters, trekked through the familiar paths with a sense of purpose and unity. As they reached the site where the flag proudly waved, they held a small ceremony, sharing stories of perseverance, dreams, and the spirit of adventure that brought them together.
The event was not only a tribute to the founding members but also an invitation to future generations to cherish and protect the unique identity of Paladonia. Amidst laughter and camaraderie, the community strengthened their ties, promising to uphold the values of resilience and harmony that their small nation cherished.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the island, the group made their way back, carrying with them a renewed sense of pride and belonging. The flag, illuminated by the fading light, stood as a beacon of hope and inspiration, reminding all who saw it of the extraordinary journey that began with a single, determined act. That was the last time the president visited Changxi.
On July 8th, 2022, an adventurous group embarked on an exciting journey to a new island named Rattlesnake Island. With great enthusiasm and a sense of camaraderie, they claimed the island as their own, christening it Aqua City, the Capital of the Republic of Paladonia. As they explored the untouched terrain, they were filled with awe and wonder upon discovering numerous ancient ruins attributed to Edie Haymore, a figure shrouded in mystery and intrigue. The ruins hinted at a rich history and sparked their imaginations. After their exploration, the group gathered to relax and enjoy the island's other scenic locales, savoring the unique blend of adventure and tranquility that the island offered, along with some good old swimming.
In August 2022, the spirit of adventure drew the group back for another visit, this time with an added twist. They organized the first and last Paladonia Olympics, an event that brought out their competitiveness and joy. The games were filled with friendly rivalry and laughter, featuring events such as flag guessing, cornhole, best jump, and a swim race, culminating in an unexpected tie. It was a day marked by shared triumphs and the forging of deeper bonds, leaving everyone with memories that would be cherished for years to come. The island, with its mysteries and beauty, had become a canvas for their dreams and adventures, forever etched in their hearts.
On the 20th of September 2023, Paladonia conducted a special military operation that captured an island in Okanagan Lake. The Grand Island Act officially integrated the island into Paladonia as a new territory. The operation was carried out with precision and care, reflecting Paladonia’s commitment to peaceful expansion and harmonious coexistence with nature. The island, previously uninhabited, presented new opportunities for exploration and community development, aligning with the nation’s values of sustainability and innovation.
To celebrate the addition of this new territory, a grand ceremony was held on the island, attended by citizens and dignitaries alike. The event was marked by speeches from key leaders, including President Goodwin, who spoke of the island's potential to enrich Paladonia's cultural and ecological tapestry. The ceremony included the hoisting of the Paladonian flag, symbolizing unity and a shared vision for the future.
In the months following the integration, plans were laid to develop eco-friendly infrastructure and facilities to accommodate visitors and researchers eager to study the island’s unique flora and fauna. Educational programs were also proposed to engage both locals and tourists, emphasizing the importance of conservation and responsible stewardship of the land.
Paladonia remained stable, with elections every August 4th. The first elections being a win for the Democratic Vikings party and prime minister rylen checkley, and the second for the Vikings party and Ryan berry. the Vikings being a fascist and nationalist party while the Democratic Vikings are the opposite. on may 8th 2025 parliament was suspended, with Ryan being fired as prime minister and president Goodwin getting special powers. this would normaly be considered a coup by most however preisdent goodwin adressed these romours with the words "shut the fuck up". he formed the "national government of the peoples unity" untill the next elections
