located in the Okanagan Lake, Rattlesnake Island is a fun getaway and a jewel on the Okanagan Lake. with a small beach, a lot of space, and many places to sit back on a chair and relax. as well as a place to hook up your boat and many relics of its past. it's on the other side of the lake from Peachland and south of Kelowna
it has a unique history where a guy named Eddy Haymore tried to build a Lebanese village on the island. however, locals in Peachland protested and the province of BC told him to leave. the village opened for 1 day in 1972 when 700 people came to the unfinished island. however, it was shut down but the Provencal government, and he was offered 40,000 for his island. eddy then went to Lebanon and kidnapped the staff of the Canadian embassy. it ended with no injuries and today he lives in Alberta.
daoyu is the capital of paladonia. located on Rattlesnake Island, it does not have any buildings but does have paths and a square named Sun Yat Sen Square. douyu is also a state named after its capital. the state government controls the entire island but measures have been taken to ensure that the state government does not have too much sway over the federal government.
