Padelna Terms of Use

Padelna ("the app") helps padel players in Muscat, Oman, find players and fill their court. It is run by Mohammed Alfori, an individual developer in Oman ("we"). By signing in you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Padelna

• You must be 13 or older.

• If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and you should arrange and play matches with their knowledge. Padel matches happen in person, often with players you have not met before.

• When you set up your profile, the app asks your birth year. If it means you are under 13, you cannot use Padelna and the new account is deleted. If it means you may be under 18, you must confirm that your parent or guardian agrees before you continue. The birth year cannot be changed in the app afterwards; email us if it is wrong.

• One account per person. Keep your Google or Apple account secure: anything done while signed in as you is your responsibility.

2. Zero tolerance for abuse

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour, in the app or at the court. You must not:

• use a display name or profile photo that is offensive, sexual, hateful, violent, or impersonates someone else;

• send chat messages that are offensive, sexual, hateful, threatening or spam, or that share someone else's personal details;

• harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against other players;

• record scores you know are false, or reject honest scores to harm someone;

• create matches you do not intend to play, or repeatedly fail to turn up;

• try to break, overload or misuse the app, or access other players' data.

3. Reporting and blocking

• Block a player from their profile (⋯ menu). You will no longer see matches they are in, and they are not told.

• Report a player from the same menu, choosing a reason and adding details.

• Report a message in a match chat by pressing and holding it. We keep a copy of a reported message with the report, even after the chat is deleted.

• Messages from a player you blocked are hidden from you in every match chat.

• We review every report and act on it within 24 hours. Acting can mean removing the offending content or removing the player's account, without notice when the behaviour is serious.

• You can also email alforiapps@gmail.com about anything unsafe.

4. Match chat

Every match has a chat for the players in it. From the moment you join the match you can read the whole chat and write in it, until 3 hours after the match's scheduled end, when every message in it is deleted. If you leave the match you can no longer read the chat, but the messages you sent stay for the other players.

5. Ratings and scores

Ratings, levels and tiers are calculated automatically from scores that the players in a game have approved. They are a guide to finding balanced games, not an official ranking, and we may recalculate them if the formula changes.

6. Playing safely

Padel is a physical sport. You play at your own risk and are responsible for your own health, equipment and conduct at the venue, and for following each venue's rules and booking terms. Padelna does not book courts, does not run the venues, and is not responsible for what happens at a match.

7. The service

Padelna is free. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, and we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use.

8. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Edit profile → Delete account. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these Terms.

9. Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.

10. Changes and contact

If we change these Terms, we will update the effective date and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Questions: alforiapps@gmail.com.
