Ahoy, Cub Scouts! Get ready to set sail for adventure at Camp Edward from August 21-24 for Castaway Bay, a pirate-themed summer camp packed with excitement! Prepare to hoist the sails, explore uncharted waters, and seek out hidden treasure as you take part in classic summer camp fun.
Scouts will enjoy archery, BB guns, crafts, nature hikes, swimming, boating, and even a climbing wall! Plus, there’s plenty of time for campfires, skits, relay races, and lake adventures. In years past, Scouts have completed around 20% of their annual advancement requirements while having an absolute blast.
📍 Location: Camp Edward, 25600-B Monroe Camp Rd, Snohomish, WA

Parents are welcome and encouraged to join in—and they have almost as much fun as the Scouts! Every parent who's attended has returned, proving just how amazing the experience is. This 4-day overnight camp is run by the council, meaning all meals and activities are planned—just bring your gear and your best pirate spirit! Tigers are welcome too!
So grab your eye patch, practice your best “Arrr!” and get ready for a swashbuckling summer adventure! 🌊🏴☠️🔥🏹🚣♂️
Spring Campout at Camp Edward
May 16-18
Pack your gear and get ready for an unforgettable Spring Campout at Camp Edward in Monroe, WA, May 16-18! This two-night adventure gives families the flexibility to join for one night or stay for the whole weekend. We have the campsite reserved from Friday through Sunday, but families are welcome to arrive later or leave early to accommodate other commitments.
We’ll be camping in the same campsite we had during the fall campout, with four 8-person cabins, wooden tent platforms (which may or may not have canvas tents installed), and plenty of space to pitch personal tents. We recommend bringing a tent if you have one—Scouts often start in the cabins but some choose to sleep with their parents in tents as the night goes on! The campsite also has private showers, bathrooms, and a large common area with sinks for brushing teeth.
In an exciting change from the fall, we expect to have access to the BB gun range and canoes and rowboats on the lake (though swimming might be reserved for the bravest Scouts!). The weekend will also be packed with field games, gaga ball, fishing, hiking, campfires, skits, camp cooking, and plenty of outdoor adventures.
This campout is run by our pack and open to all, so friends and family are welcome to attend! The pack covers the site rental and we do a big grocery run beforehand, splitting the food cost among attendees—in past years, it’s run about $15 per person.
Don't miss out—join us for a weekend of Cub Scout fun! 🔥🏕️🚣♂️🎯

Service Project: Mothers' Day Flowers - May 11
Honoring Moms with a Special Gift! 🌸💐
This Mother’s Day, our Cub Scouts will be spreading joy by handing out potted flowers after Sunday services to celebrate all the wonderful moms and mother figures in our lives!
This is a great way for Scouts to show appreciation and give back to the community with a simple but meaningful gesture. Families are encouraged to come out and support as we share smiles, gratitude, and beautiful blooms!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there! 💕🌷
Pinewood Derby - May 3
Start your engines and get ready for the Pinewood Derby on May 3rd! Scouts will race their hand-crafted cars down the track, competing for speed, creativity, and fun. Whether you're aiming for the fastest time or the most unique design, this is a day for all Scouts to shine! Cheer on your fellow racers, enjoy the excitement, and see whose car takes the checkered flag. Families are welcome to join in the fun—don’t miss this thrilling Cub Scout tradition! 🏁🚗🎉
March 15: Spreading the Word
This Saturday, our Cub Scouts hit the streets to kick off our annual Scouting for Food drive! Scouts will be placing door hangers on homes throughout the community, letting everyone know about this important effort to fight hunger. These reminders will encourage neighbors to set out non-perishable food donations, which we’ll return to collect next weekend. Keep an eye out for a door hanger and get ready to make a difference!
March 22: Collecting Donations
The time has come! This weekend, our Cub Scouts will be back in the neighborhood to pick up the food donations left outside by our generous community members. Every can, box, and bag collected will go directly to local food banks, helping families in need.
Last year, Pack 793 collected more donations than any other scout unit in West Seattle - over 1,100 lbs - and this year we're hoping to best that record. In addition to the scouts picking up from doorsteps, we'll also have a pickup point at West Seattle high school for families who aren't in our pickup area.
Thank you for supporting Scouting for Food—together, we’re making a big impact!

Our Blue & Gold Banquet was a fantastic celebration of Cub Scouting! No surprise—we had amazing food, hilarious skits and jokes from most of the dens, and an exciting modular design showcase from the Webelos. It was a night filled with laughter, creativity, and camaraderie.
Even better, we hit our annual donation target, which means every Scout will receive a free Pinewood Derby car kit this year!
A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible volunteers who cooked, decorated, and organized the event—you made this night truly special! Scouting is stronger because of our amazing pack! 🎉🏆🚗🔥
Our first camping trip of the year. All Scouts and family members are welcome! We will self-organize camping activities, letting us focus on the activities most important to our Scouts and giving adult volunteers experience organizing and leading Scouting events.

Attendance is optional, and it's next door to the campout, but if you want to attend, you need to register separately. Cost is $35/scout and $10/adult, and includes lunch. Space is limited, so if you think you want to go we recommend registering. Link here: https://seattlebsa.tentaroo.com/admin2/events/5326/31488/Camp-Halloween---October-13th-

We will set up the official race track, so Scouts can try some practice runs, as well as weigh and fine-tune their cars. This is a good idea since it can help find and fix any speed problems.
