Cub Scouts is a hands-on, interactive program designed to lead a child down the path of character building and leadership development. In Den meetings and Pack meetings, Scouts will make new friends, play purposeful games, go on outdoor adventures, and learn new skills through age-appropriate activities outlined in the Cub Scout handbooks. Click here to learn more about the program.
Dens include girls or boys at the same grade level that work together to complete age-appropriate adventures specific to their rank. Each Den is led by a parent Den Leader.
All the Dens together make up our Pack. We have one Pack level meeting or special event per month that brings together Scouts of all grade levels. The Pack is led by our Cubmaster.
Scouts are grouped into ranks according to their grade, no matter their prior experience. Each rank consists of a set of adventures that earn them their rank badge. Each adventure offers opportunities for scouts to learn about themselves, their communities, and their environment. Along the way, scouts earn awards for their hard work.
We meet 2 - 3 times each month during the traditional school year, usually on Sundays from 4-6pm.
Pack Meetings: We have one Pack meeting each month that brings together scouts of all grade levels. These are typically held on the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 4-6pm. Locations vary.
Den Meetings: Dens hold their own meetings once a month, where they go on outings or engage in small-group adventures to work toward their rank badge over the course of the year.
We also offer a number of optional fun activities over the summer, such as bike riding, kayaking, swimming, and hiking.
Scouting is, first and foremost, a family activity. It gives parents and their children an opportunity to make memories together, while helping kids develop skills and character traits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Whether it’s serving as a Den Leader, going camping as a family, or celebrating the achievement of earning a new badge, parents can be as involved as they’d like!
Many of our parents experience their first time camping with us, in a safe manner with lots of experienced families, and are excited to do it again on their own.
Parents can indicate their volunteer preferences when they register their child.
