We have 50+ scouts (boys and girls) from grades K through 5 registered in our Pack and a great team of trained volunteer leaders. A Cubmaster leads the Pack with help from a Pack Committee made up of volunteers. The Pack is broken down into “Dens” according to Cub Scout ranks.
The ranks are:
Kindergarten – Lion Scout
1st Graders – Tiger Scout
2nd Graders – Wolf Scout
3rd Graders – Bear Scout
4th Graders – Webelos I (1st Year)
5th Graders – Webelos II (2nd Year)
Each den has approximately 7 – 10 scouts assigned to it. A Den leader and 1-2 Assistant Den Leaders, who are responsible adult individuals from the community principally lead the scouts. The Den Leaders coordinate and manage the dens actions and activities.
Dens meet on their own once a month. The Den meetings are usually held at the Congregational Church.
Additionally, once a month, Dens participate in Pack meetings which are also held at the Congregational Church. Pack meetings provide an opportunity for the sharing of information on pack activities, awarding deserving scouts with achievement badges, learning from “show and tells” or guest speakers and having fun through skits, games and fun various activities.
Many of our Cub Scouts go on to join a troop after they earn their "Arrow of Light" in their final year of Cub Scouts.
