Fundraising:
We will participate in at least three fundraisers throughout the year. When we achieve our goals it helps keep scouting affordable and allows us to do more. Fundraising also helps our scouts “earn his own way”! We do require for scouts to participate in the fundraisers. Returning scouts are required to fundraise $200 which is due by Oct. 1st
New Scouts are required to fundraise a total of $185. $92.50 Would be due by Oct. 1st due date, the remaining $92.50 would be due by the pack meeting on Nov. 18th.
If fundraising goals are not met by your due date, the family is responsible for paying the remaining amount. You do have an option to buy out from fundraising by paying the amount required for your scout.
Fundraisers planned for this year:
Camp Cards (March-May)
Camp Cards offer discounts at several area businesses. Cards are sold for $5 and 50% comes back to the Pack. We use Camp Card sales to pay for summer camps (Day Camp or WOA Camp). This year our Scouts sold a total of 1,588 cards. We had several scouts sell enough to attend two weeks of Day Camp and several that sold enough to attend Webelos Overnight Camp.
Hike-a-Thon (June/October)
You collect donations or pledges for Hiking a predetermined amount of miles. We will pick a trail that all scouts can hike up to 5 miles round trip. this is an easy way to reach your fundraising goal.
Donations can be accepted via: cash, check and Card through your website link!
Trail’s End Popcorn Sales (September/October)
We sell scouting not popcorn! The Pack can earn up to 35% of our gross popcorn sales. The far majority of the Pack’s scouting experience is paid for by popcorn. (For online sales we can earn 40%!)
Each year the Pack creates an enticing prize program where Scouts are able to earn gift cards along with some additional prizes.
When we set up in front of a business and sell popcorn it is called a Show & Sell. The majority of our popcorn is sold at Show & Sells organized by our Popcorn Kernels. Shifts are typically 2 hours and have 1 Scout selling at a same time. Sign-ups are through Trails End app.
We also participate in Wagon Orders. These sales are when your Scout takes an order form around to friends and family and they order popcorn for delivery at a later date. All wagon sales must be entered into the Trails End App.
*Please see the popcorn calendar and training materials for more details on prizes and deadlines.
