We’re excited you’re thinking about joining Cub Scouts!

Pack 116 is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade, and we welcome new families anytime during the year. Your child will enjoy hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and service projects. All while building confidence, friendships, and life skills.

We understand that families may want to see our pack in action before joining. Email pack116nampa@gmail.com to set up a visit or just stop by if you have time. We look forward to meeting your family. 

What to Expect

Adventures & Awards
Scouts complete fun, hands-on activities called Adventures to earn awards. Achievements are celebrated at monthly pack meetings.

Outdoor Activities
Cub Scouting encourages outdoor learning, including camping trips. Scouts must always be accompanied by an adult family member, and families bring their own gear. All activities follow Scouting America’s safety guidelines.

Field Trips
We plan occasional field trips with educational and fun experiences. Parents or guardians accompany their Scouts.

Uniforms
Uniforms are an important part of the program and show a Scout’s accomplishments. A uniform includes a hat, neckerchief, slide, shirt, and belt. Pants and official socks are optional.
 

Class B uniforms (Cub Scout t-shirts) are allowed. We understand that uniforms can be expensive, so no Scout is ever prohibited from participating for an incomplete uniform or for not having a uniform. Pack leadership will work with your family to find creative solutions to help your Scout get a uniform.

Scouting America Annual Membership Fees:

• $85 for Cub Scouts

• $65 for all adult volunteers

Additional fees might be charged by local councils and units. Here is the Annual Health Medical Record that is required to be updated yearly and maintained by pack leadership.
