Each year, Pace Academy Hosts a policy Round Robin as an opportunity to celebrate the life of Justin Wilson, 1994 Pace Academy graduate and University of Texas-Austin student-debater whose life was tragically cut short while returning from a college debate tournament in 1996. Justin was a kind, thoughtful, humorous and personable young man. He was also a creative, hardworking and intense competitor. He made the activity better through his participation in it.
The Justin G. Wilson Debates is an attempt to provide the best debate, judging, and competition while also providing the most safe and meaningful opportunities for fellowship and personal interactions possible. Since its inception, at least one Justin G. Wilson Debates’ participant has been selected to participate in the Sandra Worthington Silvers Tutorial and/or the Key Coach Debate at the Barkley Forum at Emory University
