I am a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, co-mentored by Dr. Joel Collier and Dr. Tatiana Segura. My doctoral research investigates how the immune system can be harnessed to improve tissue repair in chronic wounds, with a particular focus on therapies that target self-molecules driving inflammation.
Alongside my research, I have pursued a deep commitment to teaching, mentorship, and inclusive leadership. I have served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate and Ph.D students and mentored undergraduate and graduateĀ researchers directly in the lab. Beyond the classrooom, I helped establish professional and academic student organizations at Duke, where I worked to expand mentoring networks and promote career development for students. These experiences have reinforced my dedication to building supportive, equitable learning environments, and I look forward to continuing this work as a full-time professor and researcher.
