Financial Assistance: 

Physics Alumni Association, Lady Brabourne College  has tried to provide financial assistance to needy students. 

• In 2017-2018 a total of Rs. 6000/- (Rs. 2000/- per student) was shared by 3 (2UG and 1PG) students.

• In 2018-2019 a total of Rs. 6000/- (Rs. 2000/- per student) was shared by 3 (2UG and 1PG) students.

• In the month of May, 2018 through a special initiative, funds were collected among Alumni members and Rs.1,20,000/- was donated to our ex-student Ushashree Chakraborty (2013 pass out) for her bone marrow treatment. She however succumbed to her ailment afterwards.

• Rs. 10,000/- was donated to Lily Foundation, a Social Welfare Organization on 02.02.2019.

• For the Amphan Victims Rs. 5,000/- each amounting a total of 10,000/- was contributed to CINI (Child in Need Institute) and Mukti - A Socio-Economic Development Organization on June, 2020.

• After the super cyclone Yash which caused severe damage in West Bengal during June, 2021 a total contribution of Rs. 80,000/- to five (5) Charitable Organizations with the following break up.

1) Bharat Sevasram Sangha : Rs. 40,000/-

2) CINI : Rs. 10,000/-

3) The Social Assistance Institution : Rs. 10,000/-

4) Chador Welfare Society : Rs. 10,000/-

5) Canning Sondhi : Rs. 10,000/-

Awards:                                             

A cash prize of Rs 5000/-  was awarded by the Alumni Association to Ms Sunayana Biswas, the top rank holder in Physics Hons in the B.Sc. final exam in college. This was given away during the Annual Function of the college, on 21st  December 2023.
