The best shortwave receivers ever brought to market are the Kenwood flagship R-5000 and JRC - NRD series series. 325 - 335 - 345 from JRC - NRD,
For me PA11599 / PA0002SWL / SWL5073 Never Been Affordable, Expensive Receivers on the market have ever been. Kenwoord R-5000 are no longer sold new. However, you sometimes find them second hand on Ebay or Marktplaats. For brand ships from JRC - NRD series series. 325 - 335 - 345 from JRC - NRD this is not otherwise very expensive. The JRC-NRD 345 is still sold in Japan for almost 3000 euros. In addition, customs import tax is added in the Netherlands. So getting another JRC-NRD 345 will no longer be for me. I am already old and sick. This dream will never come true. unless JRC-NDR sponsors one. But why would they sponsor an old SWL station at an advanced age? It will remain a dream unfortunately.

Small infor History
The Japan Radio Company NRD-525 follows in the proud tradition of the NRD-505 and NRD-515. This multimode receiver tunes from 90 kHz to 34 MHz with a 10 Hz digital display. Four independent filter positions are available with a 4 kHz and 2 kHz filter standard. Select stations via manual tuning, up-down tuning, scanning, keypad entry or 200 channel memories. Advanced refinements include: Passband Tuning, Notch Filter, Scan/Sweep, Clock Timer, effective Noise Blanker, Dimmer and Tone Control.
