We heard a really interesting talk about Ronald McDonald House at the Regional Conference. They do accept soda pop tabs, but the easiest way to contribute is just to round up your order at the register.
Check out this stat: The "Round-Up for RMHC" program raises more than $73 million annually for Ronald McDonald House Charities worldwide. Of that global total, over $60 million comes directly from U.S. McDonald's customers rounding up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar."

R.I.S.E. (Reaching and Inspiring Students in Ethiopia) was chosen as the State Altruistic Project for 2022. PA Omicron Chapter became involved with RISE in 2013, first with monetary donations and then in 2014 and 2015 with sewing school uniforms. Omicron continues to fundraise to raise money for shoes and school supplies. With the help of other ADK chapters across PA, Omicron purchased shelves and books for the Kindergarten and 1st Grade classrooms. Education is the focus of this project and the community school is its centerpiece. RISE was also one of the three finalists for the ADK World Understanding Project in 2021. A $500 donation was given to RISE on April 30, 2022.
Cam Johnston shares “World Understanding from a Child’s Perspective”. Listen to this original music video and learn more about the dreams of the children supported by PA Alpha Delta Kappa, through the Harambee Foundation, our PA State Altruistic Project. The children’s home and school, MAHOCE, the Manyara Holistic Centre, is in Babati, Tanzania and is the only service of its kind in an area of over 1.3 million people.
FYI – A check for $535 was sent to the Harambee Foundation in April 2020 for our State Altruistic Project. We received a touching thank you. The Board of Directors of the Harambee Foundation is very grateful for our partnership!
