During my 13-month tenure at Rolldbox Games, I served as a Part-time Quality Assurance Analyst, a role that allowed me to deeply understand the development pipeline of a professional studio. My main responsibility was to ensure game stability by managing Steam live branches and performing version control checks across different builds. I also managed the documentation and analysis of bug reports using Google Sheets, where I quantified data and tracked key features to provide the production team with clear and useful information for each update.
We worked under an Agile methodology using Jira, participating in daily stand-up meetings to coordinate tasks and presenting our progress in showcase demos every Friday. This environment required constant communication between departments to maintain high-quality standards.
Beyond my QA duties, I assisted the development team by designing user interfaces and implementing small features directly in the engine.
This experience was essential to bridge the gap between quality control and game design, ensuring a polished final product for the players.
