Welcome to our research lab!
The Psyllab members are conducting research in the broad domain of Language and Cognition:
Why do children acquire language with much more ease compared to adults?
How does the human brain deal with bilingualism?
Are immersed students at a disadvantage for acquiring academic content?
What are the costs and benefits of studying Latin in secondary education?
Can children with developmental or learning disorders also benefit from immersion education?
What are the cognitive precursors of language development?
What are the cognitive precursors of mathematical development?
Can bilingualism be a risk factor or a protective factor for cognitive difficulties associates with learning disorders (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia), developmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, autism), language disorders (e.g., DLD, stuttering) or neurological conditions (e.g., aphasia)?
