"Poems from different cultures" is one of the two main activities of our project "P.I.L.L." . Through this activity, our students searched for poems on six themes "love, life, nature, happiness, coming of age and loneliness" in their national literature. Then they -as school teams- translated poems from their mother tongue into English, read poems aloud recording their voice and prepared articles about the background of poets. All information and visuals came together in an interactive photo on Thinglink which is created by students themselves. On the subtitles of this page, namely themes, you can see presentations displaying poems from Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Spain and Romania. It was aimed to present cultural diversity in poetry to develop students' curiosity, multicultural awareness and understanding.
