As most scholars have argued that literature should be integrated as a part of foreign language teaching, poems and poetry-related activities may enhance English language learning by developing students' linguistic skills, critical thinking, ability to understand other cultures and emphatic attitude. The main goal of this project is to promote students’ interest in poetry as well as facilitate their comprehension and critical thinking skills. Students from 5 countries are going to compare poems from different cultures and analyse them in terms of thematic differences and similarities.
