Oxford

The ancient city of Oxford is the perfect location to host this 4-week social psychology study abroad course. Tucked between London and the Cotswolds, and surrounded by the unparalleled natural beauty of the Thames Valley, Oxford has been described as the "city of dreaming spires." Oxford is home to renowned museums, architecture, and cultural sites. Few cities can claim to have been the inspiration for so many icons of popular culture - Narnia, the Shire, Wonderland, Camelot, and Hogwarts, among others.

Oxford is also home to the oldest and most prestigious university in the English speaking world: the University of Oxford. Students will live and study at a local independent college (not one of the Oxford Univ colleges), and our program will run concurrently with the Oxford University's summer term, giving students the opportunity to interact with Oxford students, attend open university events, and experience the city as a true "college town" before tourists descend for the summer.

In addition to being a travel destination in and of itself, Oxford is a 90 minute bus ride to London, opening up a number of travel opportunities for students. A number of days will remain unscheduled to allow students to take advantage of Oxford's proximity to other locations within the UK and Europe.
