About Us

We’re the facilitators for Own Your Light, overseeing all Zoom meetings and ensuring the program runs smoothly. Both of us are pre-med students at Duke with interests in ophthalmology, Ritvik from Lexington, South Carolina, and Beren from Cleveland, Ohio. We call ourselves facilitators because the heart of this program lies with the mentors, who lead and serve as role models. Our role is to handle the logistics so mentors can focus fully on building relationships with their mentees.
