CAPSTONE Step #1

Intro/demands & Wishlist

Our first step of our CAPSTONE project was figuring out what we wanted to do. We decided on biodiesel because it was relatively easy to make, but still a fun and interesting idea. After that we started getting a materials list and a proposal. We got all $305 we asked for and now we are starting to build it. We also had some demands of what our reactor should have and some wishes that would be amazing to achieve.

Survey

For the next step of the project we had to create a customer survey to see what the public thinks of our product design. We came up with questions that were in a specific order to bring forth data on the preferences of people about our biodiesel reactor. We asked questions about the diesel restrictions in their states and how portable they would like their reactor to be. Along with the yield of fuel that they need produced. We plan to give this survey to farmers and anyone that has a diesel engine to give them an alternative so that they don't have to get rid of their diesel engine. Our data is currently incomplete and will be updated when we get that data and analyze it.

Padlet

Reflection

One thing our group did well was creative thinking when it came to our project. We had very different great ideas that we used in all sorts of elements of the final design. Another we did well was colaboration. We split the work equally and everyone was helping or doing something. One thing we did not do so well was communication. You were shunned if you didn't know what was going and it wasn't a helpful work environment. One thing we need to work on is charicter. We need to not be so obnoxious and just focus on making a good project. Also remembering we don't know everything.
