Owen Johnson

During my time in the engineering program, I have decided to go down the nuclear engineering path. because I want to work in nuclear power plants or other places that involve nuclear technology. I wanted to enter the engineering career field because I am creative and like building things like Legos and models and a model rocket. The reason that I decided the engineering career field was an okay choice for me was when I was introduced to the engineering class and because I did computer science.

I've taken computer science and took a computer class over the summer which will help me with an engineering career. I've chosen the Forest Tech Center engineering program because in the program you can build things and do big projects while also learning how to use 3D printers, resin printers, welding, arduino coding, CAD, Solidworks, wood cutting, laser cutting, and plasma cutting. and it allows you to create an invention patent, create a business, and make a living off the invention you made.

I have used coding websites to learn how to code better and with better coding knowledge at the baseline. I can strive to do better and harder coding tasks. For Jobs, I have gotten a job at the food lion in Charlotte Hall. and that job gives me skills like punctuation, leadership, and teamwork.

When I Graduate I will either go to college, work as an apprentice, or go straight into the workforce. because you need funds in order to go to college unless you get a scholarship and if I can't get an apprenticeship I would rather go into the workforce than the military or try to get a job to earn money. and the plan will probably change with time because if I get enough money I will probably go to college or if I get an apprenticeship and then a job wanting to hire me I will probably go into the workforce. and I might still pursue higher education during or after my time in the workforce.

I will probably go move either closer to my job or to where I can afford housing. I will probably try to help the people in my community if I have the capacity to help myself in the first place. I will try to help people who need it and require it to survive.
