Bio
Owen Crocker is a graduate of The Grove High School their home town of Redlands, CA. They are currently studying Mechanical Engineering at UC San Diego with a minor in Physics. Owen is a successful student with a 3.868 GPA and well on their way to a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. They plan to continue learning in graduate engineering programs and pursue research in Soft Robotics for medical or marine applications.
Owen is an aspiring Engineer who is very passionate and involved with STEM and STEM Education; being an Undergraduate Researcher in Morimoto Lab, a Team Lead for the UCSD Human Powered Submarine project team to create a one-person submarine to race, an Instructional Assistant for UCSD's Intro to Engineering Graphics and Design course as well as Statics and Intro to Dynamics, collaborating on Engineering Education Research, and having been a global competitor in the Destination Imagination Thinktank. They are inspired by the way that engineering connects the universe of mathematics to the real world in tangible ways, bringing ambition and creativity to life and motivated to bring this joy to fellow aspiring engineers through their teaching.
