OIW - OIS - Retail Options - Traffic & Mood - ROV - Contact OIS
Currently a few Ships use wristbands for retail options so a passenger does not need to use or even carry cash during their voyage; Disney uses wristbands and lanyards for umpteen millions a year. The OIS system does that and a lot more. Imagine people walking around the stores in a ship where any display or product placement can have mood sensors. Chronologically you can see what works, what sells and what were the changes their mood through the point of sale.
OIS knows so many details even before they entered a store to every part of their experience thereafter:
Every part of the retail experience becomes data registered in a database for historical and management purposes. If you want to understand your Ship, you need data; constant, critical on a massive scale which allows you to understand and evaluate more about your customers, what they want to see and what they want to buy; or what they wanted to buy although it is too much? The milk was placed at the rear of the store for a reason... Base that against how much that passenger spent to be on the Ship; what else can be automated for greater convenience? What else can be learned without asking?
Specific Staff can access and view traffic/mood/POS patterns for any specific store, restaurant, bar, Ship, day, week, month, or ? Information like described can be used in dozens of ways, here are just a few:
It may sound far-fetched and quite impossible to get such information, shuffle it and comprehend it. Unless you get your passengers to give a little up by being part of the actual system. They will since it involves their safety even if it means extra personnel placed in higher traffic areas during specific times. On most Vessels the passengers are integrated on the surface. The OIS system is a full on retail GPS observation system, gathering Traffic, Mood and Sales statistics within that one space or across the whole Ship.
