Leadership Team
The Chair is responsible for:
Preparing the annual report to be submitted to the CCCB by the end of August in each calendar year;
Liaising with CCCB officials and any others making inquiries about the overall activities of the Association;
Chairing Leadership Team meetings;
With the assistance of other Leadership Team Members, Members, and Candidate Members, planning and conducting the AGM;
Preparing an annual report on Association activities to be presented to attendees at the AGM;
Chairing the AGM;
Liaising with external organizations on behalf of the Association; and
Coordinating and promoting the growth, function, and sustainability of the Association.
The Secretary is responsible for:
Preparing the agenda for Leadership Team meetings and distributing it to Leadership Team Members prior to the meeting;
Acting as caretaker of the website and liaising with any webmasters who may be appointed;
With the Chair, planning and conducting the AGM;
Preparing the agenda for the AGM and distributing it to the Members and the Candidate Members prior to the AGM;
Assisting the Chair with her responsibilities as necessary, and acting in her absence if the Chair is unable to fulfill her duties for any reason;
Maintaining a database of Members and Candidate Members, noting admissions, dates of consecration, deaths, and withdrawals;
Scheduling Leadership Team meetings;
Preparing minutes of the Leadership Team meetings and distributing them to Leadership Team Members and other Members and Candidate Members;
Monitoring the Association email account and forwarding emails to Leadership Team members or others as necessary; and
Overseeing all official Association communications (e.g. newsletters and social media), including those issuing from Coordinators and Committees, or liaising with the Members or Candidate Members to whom various communication tasks have been delegated.
The Coordinator of Communion and Ongoing Formation is responsible for:
Promoting communion among consecrated virgins in Canada;
Forming and overseeing committees related to prayer, fellowship and the ongoing formation activities of the Association and overseeing associated events; and
Prepare an annual report on Communion and Ongoing Formation Initiatives.
The Coordinator of Diocesan Relations is responsible for:
Acting as a point of contact for bishops, their delegates, formators and other diocesan representatives seeking information and support regarding the Ordo Virginum in their dioceses;
Coordinating a clearinghouse for resources related to consecrated virginity;
Forming and overseeing committees related to the delivery of information or formation material as requested by dioceses; and
Acting as a bridge between diocesan personnel and consecrated virgins or others who can provide information and resources regarding specific needs.
The Coordinator of Vocational Promotion is responsible for:
Forming and overseeing committees related to the promotion of the vocation of consecrated virginity in Canada;
Overseeing virtual and in person information events for women interested in learning more about consecrated virginity;
Arranging for representation of the Association at youth or young adult events as requested or when opportune; and
Acting as a point of contact for any discerners and assisting a discerner in contacting her diocese, as necessary.
