If you care about the future, then an election you probably didn't know about in Wyoming matters.

If you care about progressive issues that will be decided by the lifetime partisan political appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court and the federal circuit (appellate) courts, then every Senate race matters, especially key seats in tough red states. Gary Trauner received the unanimous endorsement of Our Revolution Casper, although his endorsement by Our Revolution national is still pending.

Can we tell you how we win?

• In a recent poll, when people were informed about Gary and the incumbent (Senator John Barrasso, Mitch McConnel's protégé), Gary actually comes out ahead by a couple of percentage points. In Wyoming!
• Gary's race is the cheapest U.S. Senate seat to win in the country (due to WY's low population) BY FAR; by Our Revolution Casper member Brent S.'s research and estimates, John Barrasso spent around $100,000 (which is ridiculously cheap for a U.S. Senate election) when he ran, so even a small boost from Our Revolution's/Bernie's network of small dollar donors could give Gary the platform he needs to be heard and win.
• Gary only needs 100,000 votes in Wyoming to win--the least for any Senate seat in the country BY FAR.
• Wyoming is one of the cheapest media markets in the country, so a real small dollar donation boost from Our Revolution members can help Gary win.
• Gary can win. He nearly defeated Barbara Cubin for Wyoming's single U.S. House seat in 2006 by fewer than 0.5%, fewer than 500 voters state-wide, proving he has what it takes to talk to conservative Wyomingites and win with progressive, populist positions.
• As he is End Citizens United-endorsed and Our Revolution Casper-endorsed, he's not taking money from the political donor class and is depending upon small dollar donations from Bernie's network inside and outside of Wyoming to win. Because of our small population in the reddest state in the country, small dollar support from Wyoming progressives could desperately use even just a little big state help.
• What you get in return? The U.S. Senate, and an end to minority rule by filibuster.

It costs money to win against incumbent John Barrasso's corporate sponsors even for an insurgent plainspoken candidate who has what it takes to win on progressive values in the most conservative state in the nation. Gary's spent months driving around the state and talking to people. Campaign signs aren't free, nor is his campaign staff. He desperately needs to buy television and radio advertisement to win to position himself as the only candidate Wyomingites can trust, and he needs your support to do it.

We were happy to announce that we unanimously endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Gary Trauner (D) on Saturday, April 14, 2018, opposing U.S. Senator John Barrasso and have since forwarded our recommendation for his endorsement by the national Our Revolution organization which is still pending.

We urge our members to make recurring monthly donations of $5-30 as every penny helps Gary. He's forsworn corporate and PAC money, so is running a clean, people-powered campaign.
