The 2nd General Lyceum of Edessa is a day-run high school of 285 students aged 15-18 and 25 teachers. It is located in northern Greece and belongs to the Region of Central Macedonia in the prefecture unit of Pella.
It provides specialized theoretical knowledge for the humanitarian studies, science and Math with a view to teaching students and preparing them for their entry to the University. During the 3 years of Lyceum, students are taught, among other courses, Ancient and Modern Greek, History, Philosophy, Latin and foreign languages.
We have participated in a Comenius project in the period 2013-2015 and in e-Twinning projects that are awarded with National and European quality labels. The results from these participations showed that the students who participated in these projects not only changed their attitudes but also increased their confidence, which has helped to improve their school performance. Now, we are running 3 Erasmus+ project, one KA1 and two KA229.
On the whole, our ambition is not only to teach but also to learn, always been oriented to the European idea, so that we, together with the peoples of Europe can face the future.
