An evolution from social media to the social metaverse



In 2021, the Facebook company made the decision to introduce new branding that would signal a shift from what our company is known for today—social media—to what we want to be known for—the social metaverse.

In one of the largest marketing efforts in the history of our company, we defined our company’s new name, our logo design and brand system, our storytelling, and even our social media presence.

And it set the stage for a paradigm shift across the tech industry—and beyond—with the metaverse at its center.
