Welcome Week
We will spend time in November exploring all 17 goals to create a baseline knowledge of the goals. This is to ensure all schools have a basic understanding of the goals. Once we build a foundation we will begin to focus with more intention towards education.
December will be spent diving into Quality of Education across the world. Students will determine a problem in the world of education that they would to fix and improve.
We will begin to explore and layer in the next goal that we have chosen through student voice as the first most important goal to support quality education.
They will continue to work on their problem, but weave in how the other goals can play a role.
We will begin to explore and layer in the next goal that we have chosen through student voice as the second most important goal to support quality education.
They will continue to work on their problem, but weave in how the other goals can play a role.
We will begin to explore and layer in the next goal that we have chosen through student voice as the third most important goal to support quality education.
They will continue to work on their problem, but weave in how the other goals can play a role.
We will spend this month prototyping, fixing, enhancing our idea. This is the month to begin to implement ideas if you have not already done so.
LAUNCH to experts and partner classrooms
We will all work to identify a problem in education(locally, globally) and work to develop a solution that will lead to change by May of 2020. Each month we will layer in another goal of learning identified in November/December to further our understanding of how the goals all overlap.
Each month we will provide ideas to teach, activities to use, and time for each location to work on their project. Each month will have four questions pertaining to the goals(one a week) for students to engage in global conversation using tools like Flipgrid and Skype to share in their learning.
Size of Collaboration: While we will accept as many classrooms that want to participate, we also want to create personal connections. Once we get classrooms registered we will do our best to organize classrooms into smaller cohorts of 4-8 schools. We will have ongoing conversations with everyone while also providing you a personal team to work with and get to know. This is designed to help students build perspective and understanding of values and beliefs.
