New to swim meets and not sure what the volunteer jobs are? Check out these videos! 

Timers/Head Timer  - signing up to be a timer gives you a front row seat for the races. It's an easy job that anyone can do! The head timer holds two stopwatches and acts as a backup, just in case a timer makes a mistake. 

Clerk of Course - the Clerk of Course gets all of our swimmers organized and into the correct places for their races. Your job is to line up swimmers according to their heat and lane numbers, which will be listed on the heat sheet given to you. This is a great job for a teacher or someone used to managing groups of kids! 

Runners - runners grab slips of paper (race times & DQ slips) from the judges and timers behind the blocks, then take them to the computer so that results can be entered. This is a great job for people who like to keep moving! 

Tables/Ribbons - if you sign up for tables/ribbons, you will likely have some free time at the beginning of the meet. Once results are entered for the first few races, the person at the computer will print result sheets and ask you to post them for the swimmers to see. Labels will also be printed for you to stick to the ribbons. 

*Judges, Starter, Referee, Head Tables - these jobs require some training or specialized knowledge.

 Events: 50 Back; 50 Fly (25 Back/25 Fly for 7-8s & 25 Back/25 Breast for 6 & unders)
