Thank you so much to Andre Van Schyndel for your efforts and professional recording of Mixed Bag, and to Ian for organizing the connection!

To the Flatcaps Jazz Band:

It's been a bit of a journey from when I first heard you folks at “Villagia in the Glebe” on May 21 to last week when the last of your players came to record.  Thanks to Ian Schwartz for organizing the recording sessions and helping to put this together.  Since last week, I've been putting together the takes from all the recording sessions, doing some tuning, correcting some timing issues and fixing a few other barnacles.  I've attached a first mixdown.

Your band is a group of very nice people and it was a pleasure to meet all of you.  I hope you enjoyed the experience of recording and that you’ll like the finished result when it’s done.  You've all done a fine job.

Congratulations.

- Andre
