History

Although the nation is new, their history is not very deep, as you'd expect.

The nation was founded by the current king Kanada I and the current head of the Parliament, Parliament, as they are known online, on the 14th of November 2021, after they had heard of micronational existence. The first major event to happen was the election of the first king, incumbent king Kanada I. After this, the two founders decided on an elective monarchy as their government. Then. they stated separating the nation in two, the provinces of Metzger and Kanada, as to better manage the territory. Next on November 20, 2021, the third province was added the province of Mangaslivina then on December 6, 2021, the country went into revolution. A citizen who name will not be mentioned (for their privacy) staged a revolution against the government, and the revolution lasted till January 3, 2022. later that day in what is now known as the December revolt speech the head of parliament gave one of the most famous speeches in ottawan history (also at the bottom of the page) .  Then, on February 8, 2022, in response to an increase in population, the Aristocrat Parliament was increased, and a new member added. On march 6 2022 the official ottwawn newsletter was first created.  On 17 May, 2022, a parliament vote was held to decide on changing the coat of arms and the vote was passed giving us the coat of arms we have today.  On June 29 a new province was added the province of long lake.  On September 20 2022 Parliament  passed a bill to have an offical war  against the squirrel.  previous to the war they had caused over $1,000 in building, car, and enviromental damage.  The first battle happened on the 19th of September when a large group of squirrels (8-10) launched an attack on the Kanada State house ever squirrel was shot but only 2 were confermed dead.  And The Commonwealth of Ottawa Celebrates its first year anniversary as of November 14 2022. Also on the 14 of November 2022 the first yearly elections started.  On 3 January, 2023, the first national anthem for the Commonwealth was established. It is “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”
