The annual Ottawa-AI Alliance workshop is a major platform for Ottawa’s AI scientists and engineers, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as industrial participants to present their latest research achievements and discuss common opportunities and challenges.

The annual gathering is a one-day event featuring invited talks, oral presentations, a poster session, and discussion time. Invited talks will be delivered by leading AI experts from outside the National Capital Region. Oral presentations by principal investigators in local AI groups from national research institutes, universities and companies will also be given. Topics will include state-of-the-art advancement of AI research, and should be generally accessible/understandable to the attendees from diverse backgrounds. Students from AI research groups and developers from industry are encouraged to showcase their work and seek feedback during the poster session. Data and findings presented at the meeting can be published or unpublished. No formal conference proceedings will be issued.

Venue 2019

The second annual Ottawa-AI workshop will be held at the National Research Council of Canada's Sussex facility at 100 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, K1N 5A2 (see map below).

The venue rotates each year among the three founding organizations: National Research Council Canada (NRC), University of Ottawa (uOttawa), and Carleton University (CU).
