Francine Marchelle believes education comes with the opportunity and obligation to learn and teach. She is an educator who has more than 20 years of program leadership and curriculum development for youth and adults. Currently, Francine is the Education Director at CATCO in Columbus, Ohio using theatre arts integration to educate youth in STEM and SEL. Francine Marchelle is the Founder and Executive Director of Achievement Retro Awards Education Research Arts (ARAERA) Program. Key Concepts
● Internal processing of the holidays is just as important as the work we do with families and children.
● There’s a misconception that people have to experience trauma, grief, hardship, or pain in certain ways. There are thousands of ways that trauma responses look.
● Any reaction is normal to an abnormal situation is normal.
● Our bodies feel stress and will sometimes hold the tension of what’s around us, causing fatigue.
