Hi, my name is Julian Brodie and I am a 3rd year PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering. My research involves using atomistic simulations to study how microscopic defects, imperfections in crystalline materials, in metals affects macroscopic properties. When I’m not working on my computer, I enjoy spending time with my wife, working in my church’s youth group, weightlifting, reading, and playing the occasionally mobile game.
Hi, I'm Ashley Castelloe & I'm the president of CGSA for the 2020-2021 school year. I'm starting my fifth year of my PhD in Molecular Genetics & studying the molecular genetics behind the evolutionary development of worms. Outside of work, I enjoy watching documentaries, cooking & baking, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

My name is Annelise Madison, and I'm a fourth year student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program studying psychoneuroimmunology, or how psychological stress and immune functioning are related. In my free time, I like to spend as much time as I can outside and be active. I enjoy running, doing yoga, hiking, traveling, camping, etc.
Lin Miao is a second-year Master of Public Health student from Cleveland, OH. She is most interested in studying the epidemiology of disabilities and other lifelong conditions. Hi everyone! My name is Nikki Schnitzler. I am a student in the Statistics Ph.D. program. My research focuses on how we can combine results from multiple studies to learn about causal relationships. I love spending time with family and friends, playing board games, sailing, reading, and hanging out with my cat, Newton.
Hello! My name is Johanna Schwartz and I'm a second year master’s student in the Entomology department. My research focuses on the evolutionary history of chemosensory structures in parasitoid wasps and taxonomy of the superfamily Platygastroidea. In my free time, I enjoy reading, making music, and collecting/rearing arthropods.
Greyson is a fourth year PhD student in the history department at OSU. His specialty is race and politics in American history, and he is passionate about issues revolving racial justice in the church and America writ large. In his spare time, he likes to play bass, spend time with friends, and most nerdy things.
Timothy is on staff with InterVarsity and has been with CGSA for 5 years. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and has several years of experience in industry, government labs, and academia. He is married with 3 kids. He enjoys talking about out-of-the-box questions.
