The Congregational Life Committee promotes individual and family involvement in our faith community by planning, coordinating, and implementing family-friendly events and activities for our congregation. Events include a Rally Sunday picnic, the Holiday Giving Tree to support the local food pantry and an annual Spring Dinner.
The Evangelism Committee promotes our church’s mission by welcoming new families in the community, coordinating New Member Sundays, organizing our church pictorial directory and managing web/social media development and maintenance.
The purpose of our Youth Committee is to “disciple” our kids through faith development, service, and fellowship. Key tasks of this committee is providing youth with leadership in an advisory role, planning and managing fundraisers, and organizing fellowship/learning events for 9th-12th graders.
The Worship & Music Committee approves new forms of worship, liturgies and hymns and coordinates a schedule of congregation members to assist with usher, lector and communion distribution services.
The Stewardship Committee encourages our congregation to be stewards through donations, fundraising and church involvement.
The Property Committee preserves the beauty of our church by identifying, coordinating and implementing necessary maintenance and repairs.
The Education Committee is responsible for the total education program of the adults, newly confirmed members and youth. This includes establishing a confirmation program for 7th-9th graders, offering a week-long Vacation Bible School camp in the summer, maintaining a resource library in the Sunday School office, and organizing the annual Sunday School Christmas Program.
This group meets on Thursday mornings to make Lutheran World Relief Mission Quilts to express love to our neighbors in need. Quilts may be used as warm bedding, simple tents or floor coverings. Each one reflects God's loving presence in a world rife with suffering.
Prayer Shall
The purpose of the Health Cabinet is to support the parish nurse program and its mission and educate others about the program when opportunities arise. Special programs will also be sponsored by the cabinet on health related topics.
A Parish (Faith Community) Nurse is a registered nurse committed to the healing mission of the church. This nurse works with the Health Cabinet to assist congregation and community members in their search for wellness and a better quality of life.
