About me
I am a Professor of Astrophysics at the Division of Astrophysics, Department of Physics at Lund University, Sweden, and leader of the Lund Galaxy Formation group (Galaxies@LU).
My research is focused on the formation and evolution of galaxies in a cosmological context. Using state-of-the-art supercomputer simulations, I explore a wide range of topics, including how galaxies form in a cosmological context, galaxy evolution, star formation in the interstellar medium, stellar feedback processes, and the origins of galactic outflows.
I am a Professor of Astrophysics at the Division of Astrophysics, Department of Physics at Lund University, Sweden, and leader of the Lund Galaxy Formation group (Galaxies@LU).
My research is focused on the formation and evolution of galaxies in a cosmological context. Using state-of-the-art supercomputer simulations, I explore a wide range of topics, including how galaxies form in a cosmological context, galaxy evolution, star formation in the interstellar medium, stellar feedback processes, and the origins of galactic outflows.
In 2010 I received my PhD at the University of Zürich under the supervision of Ben Moore and Romain Teyssier. I was subsequently awarded a Kavli Fellowship at the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics (KICP) at the University of Chicago. In 2013 I became an Assistant Professor at the newly formed astrophysics group at the University of Surrey. In 2016 I received a Wallenberg Academy Fellowship which, together with multiple sources of external funding, has allowed me to establish a galaxy formation research group at Lund University.

The Lund galaxy formation group plays an active role in ESA's new F-class space mission ARRAKIHS, with launch in 2030. The mission will shed new light on the formation of galaxies and dark matter.
