The ORS Masonic Research Society is dedicated to advancing Masonic knowledge, research, and education within the Orange-Rockland-Sullivan Masonic District.
Open to all Master Masons in the District, the Society provides a structured and collaborative environment where Brothers can explore the rich heritage of Freemasonry, including its history, philosophy, symbolism, and esoteric teachings. Through thoughtful study, engaging discussion, and scholarly contribution, we seek to deepen our collective understanding of the Craft.
Our work includes the development and sharing of presentations, lectures, and educational materials, made accessible to all Lodges across our District. By fostering intellectual growth and Masonic inquiry, we aim to:
Strengthen fraternal bonds through shared learning
Encourage active participation in Masonic education
Preserve and disseminate meaningful Masonic teachings for future generations
We invite all Brethren with a passion for Masonic study to join us on this journey of enlightenment.
Engage in virtual discussions, presentations, and research sharing with fellow Brethren every quarter, open to all Master Masons in our District.
Ensure quality and accuracy through collaborative feedback and review from fellow members before sharing Masonic research and presentations.
Access a curated, searchable collection of educational materials for all Masonic degrees, available to every Lodge in the District.
Hosting special events with Masonic scholars, authors, and educators to inspire deeper exploration of Masonic topics.
Preserving the legacy of our District by scanning and archiving important documents, photos, and ephemera for future generations.
Developing tools and systems to make our digital library more accessible and useful to Lodges and individual Brethren alike.
