Orsolya Turi

I finished my Bachelor's in Biology in 2023 (University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest). My thesis during my Bachelor's was in wildlife forensic genetics, I worked on this topic for two years. I started my Master's degree in the same year at the University of Tartu's “Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management” program. 

Currently, I finished the first semester of the program. I pursued this Master's because I was interested in data analysis, modeling, and providing data for other scientific fields.  I plan to use the obtained knowledge in conservation biology, ecology, and even population genetics research. I believe that combining knowledge from different scientific fields can be extremely beneficial to research, as it enables you to have a better understanding of your results and use unique methods. 

In this portfolio, I would like to show some of my work from this first semester, my goal is to refresh this site frequently, to showcase my improvement. The site includes my CV and some maps resulting from several subjects.
