WELCOME POST

Welcome! This is my personal learning environment (PLE). Here, I will be posting content related to the subject "Aplicaciones de Informática Educativa a la Enseñanza del Inglés", or, in English, "ICT in ELT".

My name is Ornella Aldana Raisis. I am 22 years old. I live in Vicente Lopez with my mother, my father and my brother. I have started the Teaching Training Course in 2018. Currently, I am doing all 4th year subjects.

I have been teaching English since 2019. I have worked in a private institute for three years. At the moment, I give private face-to-face lessons to kids and adolescents. Until now, I haven't had the oportunity to teach adults.

In 2020 I was attending all 2nd year subjects. At the beginning virtuality was a bit challenging but after two or three months we all got accostumed to it. Even though online classes have some benefits, I totally prefer in-face lessons.

From a subject like this, I expect to learn more about educational technology resources and how to use them.

When I think of technology, I feel identified with this phrase:

Internet is full of inmediate information. Nowadays, with only one click we have access to hundred of pages full of data, but what happens when much of it is not checked? In my opinion, it is important to use not only critical thinking but also many skills when surfing the internet in order not to fall on dangerous sites and spread false information.
