Battery Attachment

A 3V coin battery has been added to the plane (as depicted on the template)

Insert the battery so the positive (+) side touches the positive wire and the negative side touches the negative wire (when you crease the plane together, see next picture).

The plane's center fold is creased around the plane. This completes the circuit and lights the LED.

Squeezing the plane at the battery will close your circuit and light your LED.

A binder clip is added to the bottom of the plane to secure the battery for flight.

Secure your battery in place with a binder or paper clip. Time to fly and enjoy!

Is the LED on your plane not lighting? Try these suggestions:

  • Reverse the battery and see if that lights the LED.

  • Press the tape securing the LED leads to the copper. Make sure they are touching.

  • Make sure the negative wire or battery side is not touching positive wire or leads.

  • Wiggle your LED and see if it lights.
