Electricity is dangerous!

Projects on this site use batteries with ~3V and ~0.2 mA (where 1000 mA equals 1 Amp). Because of these low values, the projects are safe. Individuals will not feel an electric shock if they touch the battery, wires, or components.

Electricity running through your school, library, or home is another matter. Typical outlets in the United States are 110V and allow up to 15-20 amps. NEVER experiment with these outlets! Their voltage and amperage can cause severe injury, fire, and/or death!
