As a counselor intern, I gained much experience working with different clients. I worked with ages 14 -70, with various diagnoses. With the safety net and support of my clinical site and supervisor, as well as my professor at Grand Canyon University, I learned that all people have a story to tell and need to be heard. We all have various issues that happened to us as a child or as we travel through the different stages of life, or both. Sometimes we just need to talk and sometimes we need therapeutic techniques or interventions that help us get on track. My practicum and inter programs have helped me to learn to meet people where they are and travel alongside them to guide them to better mental health. I a excited to work with any age and population but I love working with middle age to geriatric.
